Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint

In this course, students will learn word processing with Microsoft Word 2012 with the fundamentals and features. Students will learn spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel 2012 and features. Students will also learn presentation development and design with Microsoft PowerPoint 2013.

Business Writing

In this course, students will learn different formats of correspondences and legal consequences of (message, notes, letters and memorandums), spelling, punctuation, grammar and conjugation.

Accounting Fundamental

In this course, students will learn accounting principles and fundamental bookkeeping including financial Statement and balance sheet.

Financial Accounting

In this course, students will learn financial statements as they evolve from business transactions and records as emphasized using the rules of double-entry bookkeeping. In addition, students will learn adjusting journal entries and how everyday transactions for both service and retail business are recorded. In addition, students will learn the preparation of basic financial statements.

Computerized Accounting, Sage 50, Simply Accounting

In this course, students will learn computerized accounting systems, computerized journals and ledgers, income statements and balance sheets as well as customer accounts.

Computerized Accounting Quickbooks

In this course students gain an understanding of computer accounting, bookkeeping and interface along with a foundational understanding and use of Quickbooks, its components in accounting with bookkeeping and reports.

Computerized Accounting Sage 300, ERP, ACCPAC

In this course students will gain familiarity with computer accounting and bookkeeping and the interface in Sage. In addition students will gain an understanding in projects for ERP for inventory, management systems, cost of the products and how to determine all fixed and variable costs for decision making.

Payroll Compliance Legislations

In this course students will learn the provincial and federal legislation for the employment act, standards, salary, vacation and employee and employer contributions.

Payroll Fundamental 1

In this course students will learn to calculate individual pay along with calculating non-regular pay. Students will also learn the essentials of termination payments and complete a Record of Employment (ROE)

Payroll Fundamental 2

In this course students will learn how to calculate organizational remittance to federal, provincial and third party stakeholders. In addition students will prepare accounting documentation for payroll and complete year end documentation and the various methods to communicate organizational remittances to internal, external and government stakeholders.

Income Tax Fundamental

In this course, students will learn income categories, applicable tax rules to calculate net income, allowable deductions for taxpayers and calculation of tax payable for individuals.

Human Resources

In this course, students will focus on job analysis and job specifications; job descriptions and standards of performance; training and development; performance appraisals; compensation and benefits; health and safety.
