Work Opportunities

As an international student, you may be eligible to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during the academic term and full-time during breaks, depending on the conditions of your study permit. Many of our programs include co-op or internship placements, providing hands-on experience that is directly related to your field of study.
Working while studying allows you to gain valuable Canadian work experience, helping you build a strong resume and improve your employability after graduation. Canada’s post-graduate work permit program also allows eligible graduates to work in the country for up to three years after completing their studies, providing an excellent opportunity for those looking to establish their careers in Canada.

Admission Requirements for
International Students

At A1 Global College, we recognize that international students have unique needs and requirements. To ensure a smooth application process, we provide clear guidelines and support throughout your journey.

Academic Requirements

International students are required to meet the academic qualifications set for their chosen programs.
Admission requirements may vary depending on the course of study, but typically, applicants must have completed secondary education (equivalent to Canadian high school) and provide transcripts for evaluation.

Document Checklist

• Completed application form
• Official high school transcripts and any post-secondary transcripts (if applicable)
• Proof of English language proficiency (see below for details)
• Copy of valid passport
• Study permit (once accepted)

Visa and Study Permit

Before arriving in Canada, you must obtain a study permit. The Canadian government requires international students to hold a valid study permit if their program exceeds six months. You can apply for a study permit after receiving a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from A1 Global College. Our admissions team is here to guide you through the study permit application process.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Since English is the medium of instruction at A1 Global College, demonstrating proficiency in English is an essential requirement for international students whose first language is not English. This ensures that students can comfortably follow the curriculum and participate actively in class.

Accepted English Proficiency Tests:

International applicants must submit results from one of the following recognized English proficiency tests:

IELTS (International English Language Testing System): A minimum overall band score of 6.0 in the academic module.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): A minimum score of 80 in the internet-based test (IBT) or 550 in the paper-based test (PBT).
PTE (Pearson Test of English – Academic): A minimum overall score of 50.
Full-time Study in English: If you have completed at least three years of full-time study at an institution where English is the medium of instruction, you may qualify for exemption from the English proficiency test. A letter or transcript confirming this must be submitted for evaluation.

If you do not meet the minimum language requirements, you may be eligible for conditional admission upon completion of an approved English language program in Canada.

Our financial aid office provides information on scholarships, bursaries, and student loans that international students may be eligible for. While international students do not qualify for OSAP, we offer various financial aid options to help you fund your education.

Payment Options and
Refund Policy

A1 Global College offers flexible payment options for international students. Tuition fees can be paid in installments, and we accept various payment methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, and certified checks.

Refund Policy

International students who wish to withdraw from their program must notify the college in writing. The refund policy is outlined in the student contract, and refunds are processed based on the date of withdrawal and the terms agreed upon during enrollment.

Become an International Recruitment Agent

Are you interested in helping students achieve their educational goals by representing A1 Global College? We are always looking to expand our network of trusted international recruitment agents. As an authorized agent, you will play a key role in guiding students through the application process and helping them transition to studying in Canada.

To become an agent, please complete the Agent Application Form available on our website. Once reviewed, our admissions team will contact you to finalize the contract agreement. Upon approval, you will be assigned to an International Admissions Advisor who will support you throughout the process.

Housing Assistance for
International Students (Optional)

Finding suitable accommodation is a critical aspect of student life, especially for international students.

While A1 Global College does not offer on-campus housing, we can assist students in finding off-campus housing options near our campuses in Mississauga, Scarborough, and Hamilton.

We provide resources and guidance on renting apartments, homestays, and shared accommodations.
