Effective April 29, 2022, Ontario government expanded the program to better help people who may face challenges finding stable jobs, youth and people on social assistance. If you have been unemployed for six months or longer, and are part of a low-income household, you may benefit from these changes.
To better reflect the expansion of the program, we renamed the program Better Jobs Ontario (formerly Second Career).
Better Job Ontario incentive is funding available for those who have been recently laid off. The goal of this program is to train professionals for programs with high career opportunities, skills training, and programs that have high demand (sector-wise).
